When a simple question can change your talk

Updated: Jul 23, 2025

Today in a workshop with a group of engineers, we were working on how to improve their presentations.

One of them shared a talk they gave at one of the largest Salesforce conferences. He walked us through what they did and why (he didn’t actually present it—that wasn’t the goal).

Right after, a colleague asked a brilliant question about a KPI they hit when the solution was implemented.

That one question sparked a huge insight about how the presentation could have been so much better.

Just a reminder—get feedback from your colleagues or people around you. You don’t always need to rehearse the whole thing to uncover ideas that could dramatically improve your talk.
